A month in Australia is barely enough time to scratch the surface. And our month was limited to the eastern portion of the country. Starting in Sydney, we went north to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, and surrounding vicinity. From there we flew up to Cairns and Port Douglas, from which we spent a day in the Great Barrier Reef, then touring the countryside nearby. Then it was up to Darwin and Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territories. After that, it was a flight back down south to Melbourne, Grampians National Park, the Great Oceans Road, topped off by an evening watching penguins at Phillip Island Wildlife Park. Here are some pics from our time in this beautiful country.
